Listening to my Body: An Update

You have probably noticed that my blogging schedule has been quite a bit off recently. I wanted to address that in this post. The summer season is the worst season out of the year for me. So as we are reaching the 80’s (Fahrenheit) where I live, my heart is having a very difficult time. You may know that I have several conditions that prevent my body from regulating it’s own temperature. The most notable of these being POTS. I have been struggling to keep up with my 3 times a week blogging schedule and reduced it to twice a week as I mentioned in my previous post. However, I really feel that during the summer season, I need to cut back to posting once a week.

I appreciate that you have stayed by my side during this tough time. As my symptoms abate in the non-summer seasons, I am always more active and will most likely be posting more. I’m thinking that this will become a schedule in it of itself. More frequent posting in the cooler parts of the year and the once a week blog posts during the summer. If you are wanting to stay connected and up to date on what I am doing in the mean time, I highly recommend checking out my Twitter and Instagram pages. I like to post mini-blogs on Instagram and a bunch of great things on my stories. On Twitter I like to write poetry, jokes, and just general chronic illness themed content. I am active on both of those platforms daily, so it is a great way to keep in touch with what is going on.

Otherwise, I will go ahead with the one post a week plan. I’m not sure yet what day I will stick to posting on. It will either be on a Monday or a Thursday evening. Either way I will make sure to let you know! Again, I am so thankful to have such a supportive backing of people who understand the struggles that come with unpredictable health conditions. I feel bad for having to change it like this, but I have been really struggling lately. Honestly, I feel like I have been letting so many people down and I hate it! So if that’s true for you, than I truly apologize. Yet, I need to go through my journey and figure it out step by step. We don’t always get to see what lies ahead of us, but perhaps that is a good thing. How else would we grow? Most importantly, I’m in this for the long run, as my mission is too important to give up on.

Thank you so much for reading! Does the summer heat affect you as well? What are your thoughts? Please subscribe and I’ll see you next time, my Un-imaginables!

  1. Don’t feel bad for changing your schedule, in fact it sounds like a great idea especially if you feel youself struggling physically in the hotter weather. I enjoy sun and a wamer weather myself, but the minute it goes into what we call muggy (where you feel youself perspiring a little like on your face, etc. all day) that’s when it gets uncomfortable for me. Extreme heat doesn’t work well for the type 1 diabetes apparently, something I just found out about despite having it for over 20 years, lol.
Take it easy and i hope you continue to enjoy blogging in the meantime 🙂

    • I really appreciate your comment! I’ve been struggling with my decision, but I feel so blessed to receive your support. I agree, muggy weather is the worst! Lol isn’t that crazy!?! It’s so hard to find out what affects your health and when you do it’s always the oddest things. I will definitely continue to enjoy blogging. Thank you again! I hope you are doing well 🤗
